I saw these tweets of LG singing a jazzy cover of BR in Vegas yesterday and it seems she has given up on pop music. As if she knows that there is no place for her in 2024's pop landscape. As if she knows that loud vocals and big choruses dont belong on Spotify playlists full of chill vibes and whisper-singing. Cute, relatable girly girls like Taylor and Sabrina with manufactured boyfriend drama, chill pop songs and smooth studio vocals are it.

Did she predict her own future?

Her Vegas show is jazz inspired and started with her and Tony Bennett. She's not going to perform a pop version of her singles.

Yup! One thing about the gays is that they’ll support you forever.

Look at Madonna’s decrepit ass. The OG gays still show up and show out for their old lady like it’s ‘86.

There's videos of her with a piano waaaay before she dropped The Fame. She made the type of music she had to make and topped it off with the controversial image for sales, but she's a jazz lover and actual singer at heart. I rather her not go the Katy Perry route...

I guess you haven't heard the clip of her new music she has teased. It's very short but clearly it's an uptempo dance pop song, the type of music she has always been known for.

In any case, Gaga doesn't really need Spotify hits anyway. She's an established artist that has been in the game for over a decade. She is well known and respected within the industry for her talent. Gaga has a loyal and dedicated fanbase that will buy her music regardless of whether or not she has a hit single. She will continue to release albums and successfully tour for the rest of her life. Gaga is not Katy Perry AKA a talentless hack who is reliant on quick lil singles. Those are the girls that become irrelevant once they can no longer produce hits, because they don't have the talent to achieve legitimate longevity.

Good music is good music.

The OP is so unnecessarily negative and ageist.
This rendition of Bad Romance is divine.
Some people are so miserable!

I would have loved to see Gaga in Vegas, but didn't get a chance. This chick will be more than fine. I wouldn't want her to be making pop music right now. She knows how to read the room and be authentic...She is authentically into jazz and makes a killing doing so.

Don't you see JLo's ass bombing left and right because she thinks it's still 2003? You gotta evolve with the times.

It's true, she could not keep up with the Taylors of the world and seems happier singing jazz in Vegas. But make no mistake, she is charging an arm and a leg for these jazz shows. It may be Vegas but it has grossed over $100M. Old people have a lot of disposable $$$.

Having a residency in Vegas nowadays is completely different from 20 years ago.

A Vegas residency used to mean that your career has fell off. That's not the case anymore. You go to Vegas now to revive your career or keep the fires burning for old and new fans.

Having a Vegas residency in 2024 means a whole lot of $$$$$$$$$ and coverage.

It no longer means you are a joke.

I don’t think so. Lady gaga already cemented her spot in pop and in pop culture in general. Besides she has a huge fanbase that will support her no matter what. So i honestly think she’ll be ok.

She's an artist who is growing. Only a child would think this is something to scoff at.

Gaga is at the stage in her career where she doesn't care if she produces hits or to follow/set trends. She wants to make whatever type of music she feels at any given moment and her fans will always follow.

Agreed. She pretty much an icon/legend now. She is like a combo of so many legends before her (Madonna, Cher, Elton John, Bowie, with some jazz and broadway thrown in).

Honestly I didn't even get into her until she stripped everything back. This song is so gorgeous. It should have gotten the same praise that "What Was I Made For" got.

Exactly. She has nothing to prove.
